Regional Club & Event Volunteers

Cornellians live everywhere, and we like to get together.  Club leaders coordinate social, educational or service events for alumni, parents and friends of Cornell in a geographic region.  Local volunteers work in conjunction with the Alumni Engagement & Annual Giving team to generate ideas, plan and manage events, and recruit additional volunteers.

Class Agents & Reunion Volunteers

Staying connected with classmates is a hallmark of the Cornell alumni experience.  Class Agents serve to strengthen ties back to Cornell and among classmates. In preparation for reunions, Reunion Committee members partner with Class Agents to help build attendance at reunion events and encourage their classmates to give in recognition of milestone reunions.

Career Development & Mentoring

Cornell students and alumni alike benefit from a well-connected network of alumni and parents. Whether it’s through an introduction, an internship host or job offer, or by offering advice or training, Berry Career Institute volunteers help strengthen that network.

There are a variety of ways in which alumni, parents, and friends can be of service to students in their career development. These range from helping students understand more about certain career paths and sharing one's wisdom, to hosting students at one's place of work, to actively recruiting Cornell College students and alumni for open positions within one's organization.

Alumni Association Board of Directors

The Alumni Association Board of Directors is comprised of alumni volunteers from across the Cornell alumni community.  Directors serve a 3-year term and work in close partnership with the Office of Alumni Engagement to provide opportunities for alumni to stay connected to each other and to Cornell.  Directors travel to Mount Vernon twice a year for in-person meetings, once in the spring and once in the fall, during Homecoming weekend.
