Taylor is assistant director of student career advising at Northwestern University. She guides undergraduate business students through the processes of job application, internships and experiential learning opportunities. She also hires, trains and supervises student career ambassadors, advises two student organizations and serves on several campus committees.

She previously held posts in career advising at Lawrence University and the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, where she received a leadership award in mentoring.

Taylor is very active in The Woman’s Club of Evanston, volunteering and raising funds for organizations devoted to helping children, teens and families. She serves in leadership roles on the outreach and philanthropy committees. She also volunteers as a mentor with a local college access program and serves on the advisory board of

Northwestern’s chapter of Camp Kesem, which provides free summer camp for children whose parents have cancer.

She holds a master’s degree in education from Indiana University and has been certified as an instructor in strengths-based education.

Taylor grew up in Chicago. At Cornell (maiden name: Koch), she majored in anthropology, sociology and Spanish. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude and was a member of several honor societies. Among other activities, she was president of Mortar Board and the student senate and co-chaired Colleges Against Cancer and Relay For Life. She was a student orientation leader and served on the search committee that hired President Brand.

“The Hilltop provided me with friendships, mentorship and experiences that boosted my confidence, helped me develop lifelong skills and nurtured my love of learning,” Taylor wrote. “Cornell is an amazing place that continues to grow and excel in many ways. I want to do whatever I can to support it for generations to come.”

Taylor is married to Cornell classmate Andrew Kinn, who manages analytics for the Northwestern football team. They live in Evanston.
