Robin Nilsson, 2021
Robin is a product specialist at Ruffalo Noel Levitz (RNL), a consulting firm in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, that helps colleges attract and retain students. She helps administer, analyze, and report the results of student satisfaction surveys.
She is also pursuing a double master’s degree in finance and business analytics at the University of Iowa where she is a member of the Graduate and Professional Student Government.
Robin has worked in soup kitchens, volunteered at fundraisers for underprivileged children, helped organize Special Olympics events, and mentored young students. She lists among her hobbies “yo-yoing, making and walking on stilts, playing the steel drum, making balloon animals, and drawing.”
Robin is from Miami, Florida. At Cornell she majored in anthropology and business analytics and ran on the cross-country and track teams. “Cornell surrounded me with opportunities,” she wrote, citing learning to ski, making the most of career counseling, and, thanks to the quality and variety of food, becoming a vegan.
As a member of the alumni board, she hopes to contribute her insights as a recent alumna and from knowledge gained at RNL.
Robin lives in Iowa City.
