Hayden Howard '14

Hayden Howard, 2014

Hayden is an account specialist for AbbVie, a biopharmaceutical company, working to educate physicians in the Fort Worth, Tex., area about the firm’s antibiotic medicines. He has held similar positions and earned several sales awards with other healthcare companies that provide medical equipment and pharmaceuticals.

He is a volunteer varsity football coach at a local private school.

He holds two master’s degrees: in public health (summa cum laude) from Kent State and in business administration (cum laude) from Texas Woman’s University.  

Hayden grew up in the Fort Worth area. At Cornell he majored in sociology and anthropology and minored in chemistry. He was a four-year letterman in football and a member of the student senate, the conduct and appeals board, a performing arts group, the anthropology honor society and Beta Omicron.

As a Cornell Fellow, he worked at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, an opportunity “that jump-started my career,” he wrote. “Cornell not only gave me an incredible foundation, but also the chance to fulfill my professional goals.”

Since graduation Hayden has worked with prospective students and mentored recent graduates.

Hayden’s wife is the former Tara Doner, Cornell 2015, who is curriculum director at Primrose Private School in Fort Worth.
